So if a hub goes down, disappears, whatever, it can clog up your queue something chronic as the machine keeps attempting to deliver undeliverable messages. I just removed two of my connections because they were on hubs that just went poof, and that's fine on a single-user hub because I can ferret them out and remove them but what happens when it's a multi-user hub?

OMFG. The public stream has been missing since I made this hub and I could never figure out why.

I was just poking around in the site settings, and it's a toggle epic eyeroll

So, I have a public stream now.

Did I? lol I am very glad I documented that, my memory is crap and it sounded only vaguely familiar.

It looks like that's where it stores your db settings and everything so you'll probably want to make sure it can connect. I mean you can't do anything if it can't, so it should be pretty obvious!

I thought that too, but apparently it wants php? Also, it's okay now. I think I fixed it by letting it put it's own text in, rather than the stuff it gave me.

re the database schema thing...I have NO idea what any of that is about. I mean, I know conceptually what a database is, but yeah, no clue.

Oh yeah, duh; I'm getting confused with .htaccess (been a while since I used Apache, lol).

Do you have access to something like phpMyAdmin? It's a web-based GUI for MySQL and it makes things pretty simple; once you're able to browse around and actually "see" how they work they aren't particularly scary, IMO.

Yeah I've been using phpmyadmin, and it still confuses the crap out of me LOL Databases just aren't something I've dealt with before so they're currently way over my head. At some point I'll spend the time and have a proper poke around, until then, it'll just be some arcane magic to me ;)
